Watford's Marvin Sordell-Danny Graham link-up 'natural'

Marvin Sordell believes his Watford strike partnership with Danny Graham is a natural pairing.

The duo have scored 14 goals between them in the last seven games, all of which the Hornets have won.

Sordell told BBC Three Counties Radio: "If he's going up for a ball I like to be in and around him to get second balls and it's the same with him.

"People talk about it like it's something we work on in training all the time, but it comes natural."

Last season saw 19-year-old Sordell score three goals in six games in his debut campaign.

The forward, who has been one of a number of Watford academy products to become part of Malky Mackay's first team this term, has already taken his tally to 12 this season.

His latest effort, a cool finish when through on the goalkeeper, was the final goal in his side's 3-0 win over Derby on Saturday.

And afterwards he revealed he has changed his tactic when it comes to finishing off a one-on-one.

"Earlier in the season I'd change my mind at the last minute which is not really the best thing to do," he said.

"If you keep a clear mind and put it where you want to put it nine times out of 10 it's going to go in."
