De La Cruz joins Watford on trial

De La Cruz made 25 appearances for Reading

Former Reading and Aston Villa defender Ulises De La Cruz has joined Championship side Watford on trial.

The 34-year-old left Reading this summer after two years at the Madejski Stadium and is hoping to secure a deal with a new club.

"De La Cruz in without doubt one of the best professionals I have ever worked with," Reading manager Steve Coppell told the club website.

"If anyone phones me about him, I would recommend him to them 100%, no doubt."
