Watford player/coach Alec Chamberlain has signed a new one-year contract at the Vicarage Road club.
Chamberlain began his career in 1980
The 42-year-old will provide cover for the Hornets' young keepers and will begin his 11th season at the club.
Boss Aidy Boothroyd told the club website: "He is in fantastic condition and he remains a terrific number two.
"Alec is an integral part of my coaching staff here and he is absolutely vital to the future development of our goalkeepers."
Chamberlain is the club's longest serving player after joining from Sunderland in 1996.
The veteran keeper has made over 250 appearances for the Hornets and completed his testimonial season in Watford's return to the Premiership last term.
