Finances are still stretched at Vicarage Road

Watford have announced a loss of £4.5m for the year ending 30 June, 2004 according to figures just released.
The loss was made on a turnover of £8.5m but is an improvement for the Championship club who had lost £10.3m during the previous financial year.
Ticket sales from the 2-2 FA Cup third round draw with Chelsea at Vicarage Road, followed by a replay at Stamford Bridge, helped to swell income to £2m.
And season-ticket receipts improved by £100,000 on 2003 to £1.6m.
