Watford reveal backroom team
Lewington succeeded Ron Noades as Brentford boss
Lewington succeeded Ron Noades as Brentford boss
Watford have confirmed that Ray Wilkins and Steve Coppell will join new boss Gianluca Vialli's backroom team - but insist Brentford's Ray Lewington will not.

Vialli, who will take up his new post on 1 July, only agreed to take on this job after he was granted permission to bring in his own backroom staff.

The Hornets have so far not revealed what position Wilkins and Coppell will hold at Vicarage Road.

Coppell experienced winning promotion to the top flight as Crystal Palace boss while Wilkins has managed Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.

Watford have dismissed speculation linking them with a move for Brentford manager Lewington.
