Martin Devaney has agreed a one-month extension to his loan from Barnsley to League One strugglers Walsall.

The 30-year-old striker has made four appearances for the Saddlers since joining them last month, scoring once against Dagenham & Redbridge.

His loan spell was due to end after Saturday's FA Cup tie with Fleetwood.

Devaney and fellow Barnsley loanee Liam Dickinson, who joined Walsall this week, are both eligible to play in the first round game.

Saddlers boss Chris Hutchings said: "Martin has done well for us.

"He is a real threat and is enjoying his football here. He's a winner who will put his foot in and make things happen.

"I am delighted to be extending his loan and having him available for our FA Cup game is an added bonus."
