Walsall appoint new chief executive

Walsall

Walsall have announced changes to the club's senior management positions.

Financial Director, Stefan Gamble, 35, becomes chief executive with former assistant club secretary, Daniel Mole, 30, moving to the club secretary role.

The changes see Roy Whalley, who has served a number of different jobs, now able to focus fully on his position as commercial director.

"In Stefan and Dan the club has two very able individuals who can take the club forward," Whalley said.

Gamble has been with the Saddlers since 2002 and has been on the club's board of directors for the last three years as financial director.

"I am honoured to be appointed as chief executive," Gamble told the official club website.

"This represents a real opportunity to build on the sound foundations already in place at the club and to introduce fresh, new energy and ideas to play a key role in taking Walsall forward."
