Showunmi has nine goals in 33 appearance for Tranmere this season
Tranmere defender Aaron Cresswell believes Rovers' upturn in results is down in part to the performances of striker Enoch Showunmi.
Showunmi scored his second goal in as many games in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Prenton Park.
"Enoch has been brilliant for us over the last few games," Cresswell, 21, told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"He leads the line well and he gets us a few goals and we really can't ask much more."
Cresswell added: "Even the two wingers Lucas Akins and Lateef Elford-Alliyu have shown great work-rate and it's working out for us.
"John Welsh put in a great ball and Lateef is only a little lad and he did well to score."
Tranmere moved above Sheffield Wednesday in the League One table following victory over the Owls on Tuesday night, leaving Les Parry's side enjoying the relative safety of 15th position.
Cresswell is delighted with his team's progression and admits the situation has turned around quickly.
"We're doing well at the minute and it's only one defeat in eight for us and we've had about four or five clean sheets," said Cresswell.
"A few weeks ago we were looking down at the wrong end, but we've had a few good wins and it has put us up the table. We've three games in hand over Plymouth and Swindon so at the minute we're looking well."
