Derry City's Mark McChrystal joins Tranmere Rovers
McChrystal has three caps for Northern Ireland Under-21s
Tranmere Rovers have signed Derry City defender Mark McChrystal on a free transfer until the end of the season.
The Northern Irish 26-year-old former Wolves trainee, who played for Partick Thistle in 2007, has signed a six-month deal at Prenton Park.
"He's a leader, he talks and is the type of players others look up to," boss Les Parry told the club website.
Rovers have also extended West Brom striker Lateef Elford-Alliyu's loan at the club until 4 February.
Parry added: "He's proven his ability since he has been here, has played consistently well and increases our attacking options."
Elford-Alliyu, 18, who arrived at Prenton Park in November and has since made four appearances for Rovers, will be available for the League One match against Walsall on 8 January.
