Defender Shaleum Logan expects Tranmere to survive

Tranmere defender Shaleum Logan believes his side will survive the drop from League One as they prepare to face Millwall at Prenton Park on Saturday.

Rovers are two points from safety, behind rivals Gillingham and Exeter.

"I think we'll do it, definitely," he told BBC Radio Merseyside. "It depends on the Millwall game and I think we'll get something on Saturday.

"I don't think we deserve to go down this year. There are 10 teams that aren't as good as Tranmere Rovers."

He added: "But it's just the situation we're in at the moment but I'm sure we'll come out of it."

Logan has been out of action since March following a double hernia operation and made his return in the 1-1 draw with Colchester last week.

He has made a quicker than expected recovery, although admits he always believed he would return before the end of the season.

"I always knew I was going to be fit towards the back end of the season in the last two or three games," Logan said. "I felt good after the operation and I think my recovery time was really quick.

"It was my decision. I was asked whether I felt comfortable coming back. I wanted to play the last three games of the season and that's what I've done.

"I am one of those people who heal quickly and even when I broken my leg and arm I was back in a month before I should have been.

"There are a lot of people who would have seen the season out with a double hernia but I felt comfortable enough to come back."
