Moore scored on his Tranmere debut against Leeds last season
Tranmere Rovers striker Ian Moore believes his former club Leeds United remain among the promotion favourites in League One.
Moore, who played at Elland Road between 2005 and 2007, told BBC Radio Merseyside: "They've got a good squad and money to spend in January.
"It's a good set-up and they'll be in the shake-up at the end of the season."
Both sides are currently outside the play-off places and meet at Prenton Park this Saturday.
Moore, 32, stated his career as a trainee at Tranmere Rovers before enjoying spells at: Bradford City, Nottingham Forest, West Ham United, Stockport County, Burnley, Leeds and Hartlepool United.
His father, Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore, brought him back to Prenton Park on transfer deadline-day in January.
He then scored on his debut at Elland Road last season.
It was a superb debut for me, I couldn't have asked for a bigger game and I was delighted to get a goal

Moore says he still has fond memories of his time at the Yorkshire club.
He has sought to play down his exuberant goal celebrations as the two sides prepare to face each other again.
"It was a superb debut for me, I couldn't have asked for a bigger game and I was delighted to get a goal.
"I think I need to apologise a little bit to the Leeds fans for overdoing my celebrations.
"It was a debut goal for me at the club I started my career with and sometimes you do get a bit carried away when you score," said Moore.
