Navarro joins Tranmere
Tranmere boss Dave Watson
Watson has finally signed midfielder Navarro
Tranmere Rovers boss Dave Watson has finally completed the permanent signing of Liverpool midfielder Alan Navarro, reports BBC Radio Merseyside.

The 20-year-old had a successful loan spell at Prenton Park before Christmas, scoring twice in four appearances. Rovers won all four of those games.

Navarro was always keen to return to the Wirral and the Second Division club have been in touch with Anfield over the player's future for several weeks.

But Watson has finally got his man after a deal was agreed which could rise to 225,000 depending on appearances.

Navarro has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract, but despite appearing for Tranmere in the early rounds of the FA Cup, has missed the registration deadline for Sunday's fourth round tie with Cardiff.

Having failed to make a first-team appearance for Liverpool, he also had two loan spells with Crewe during 2001.
