Ghaly was angered by Jol's decision to replace him as a sub after 30 minutes
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has urged supporters to forgive Hossam Ghaly ahead of Tuesday's Carling Cup semi-final first leg against Burnley.
The Egyptian was booed by Spurs fans as he warmed up among the substitutes in Friday's FA Cup win over Wigan.
He has not played for the first team since May 2007 when he threw down his shirt in anger when he was replaced after coming on as a substitute.
"He made a mistake but it's time to forgive and forget," said Redknapp.
"I don't think he was being disrespectful to Tottenham. He had been subbed as a sub and was annoyed with the manager [at the time Martin Jol] more than anything."
