Tottenham youngsters Tomas Pekhart and Charlie Daniels have joined Southampton and Gillingham respectively on loan.

Czech Under-21 striker Pekhart, 19, joined Spurs in the summer of 2006 but has not played for their first team and has moved to Saints until January.

Left-sided player Daniels, 21, was on loan at Leyton Orient for much of last season and joins the Gills for a month.

Meanwhile, fellow Spurs youngster Leigh Mills has extended his loan spell at Gillingham until 3 January.

Defender Mills, 20, had moved to Priestfield on an initial month's loan just before the start of the season - despite having looked set to join Brentford on a year-long loan after featuring for the Bees in pre-season.

He made his Gillingham debut in their recent 1-0 defeat by Luton.

Meanwhile, Pekhart arrives at Southampton after showing prolific form in Tottenham's youth and reserve sides.

"Tomas has averaged over two goals every three games in his career so far," Saints first-team coach Dave Hockaday told his club's website.

"There were a lot of Championship teams in for him, but Spurs asked us if we'd be interested and we've kindly taken them up on their offer."
