Tottenham defender Anthony Gardner will be sidelined for the next six weeks after sustaining a hairline fracture of the fibula at Chelsea on Sunday.
Gardner came on as a substitute against Chelsea on Sunday
Gardner, 25, sustained the injury shortly after coming on as a substitute during the 3-3 draw in the FA Cup.
"We'll do a CT scan but it looks like he'll be out for around six weeks," said Spurs boss Martin Jol.
"Fortunately, we have a squad of versatile players who can cover our defensive positions."
Gardner, who joined Tottenham from Port Vale in January 2000, has been hampered by injury problems this season and has been restricted to 13 appearances in all competitions.
