Tottenham defender Erik Edman has joined French club Rennes on a three-year deal.
Edman has made 34 appearances since joining Spurs last summer
The 26-year-old Swedish international moved to Spurs in July 2004 from Heerenveen and made 34 appearances in total, scoring once.
"I hope the switch will suit me and make me a better player in a good league," Edman said.
A statement on Spurs' official website confirmed Edman's departure, adding: "We wish him well at his new club."
Rennes finished a surprise fourth in Ligue 1 last season to qualify for the Uefa Cup.
