Tottenham have finally agreed a deal with League One side Swindon to sign 16-year-old defender Leigh Mills.
King was determined not to let Mills go on the cheap
The fee has not been disclosed but a statement on Swindon's website said the deal involves cash, plus a loan player for the England Under-16 captain.
"We will be giving more information on Leigh's departure and the loan player early next week," the statement read.
Spurs had a bid for Mills rejected last month, while the player turned down a move to Everton after a fee was agreed.
Swindon boss Andy King had made clear his determination to make sure the club got reasonable compensation for the highly-rated youngster.
