Daniel Levy has revealed that Tottenham have discussed transfer targets with
the club's next manager.
Levy and his company Enic secured a £15m transfer kitty when shareholders approved his fundraising proposals at an extraordinary general meeting.
The Spurs chairman is confident of getting his first-choice coach in the summer, and he has already been talking
transfers with him.
"The potential manager is aware of the targets we are looking at," said Levy.
He added: "There have been discussions with him. We know who we want and he is aware of the situation.
"But there is no guarantee he will be here in the summer, although we are hopeful.
"We intend to buy quality so anyone who comes in will be happy with who we buy.
"We are working on a couple of deals at the moment but you need to have a willing seller and as Chelsea are finding out with Charlton that is not always the case.
"We have 10 days left and are hopeful. The incoming managerial situation has had no effect at all on who we want to sign."
The north London club have reportedly made a £5m double bid for Leeds duo Paul Robinson and James Milner
The Sun newspaper claims Spurs have offered the exact amount Leeds need to keep them out of administration for the rest of the season.
Robinson is said to be being lined up as the long-term successor to Kasey Keller in goal.
A recent run of four straight wins has lifted Tottenham to mid-table safety, but caretaker manager David Pleat is keen to strengthen his squad.
