Keller glad to be back
Keller will push Neil Sullivan for the keeper's jersey
New Tottenham signing Kasey Keller says he was attracted back to the Premiership by the 'buzz' surrounding the English game.
The American international was on the verge of signing for Turkish club Besiktas, but when Tottenham came in for him he jumped at the chance to move to White Hart Lane. He said: "There's a big buzz in the Premiership right now, that has grown even in the two years I've been gone. "These next three years are going to be a big time in England, and it's going to be nice to be a part of that."
"I've heard very good things about Glenn Hoddle," he said. "There's definitely a big buzz about Spurs at the moment with the manager coming back and Teddy (Sheringham) coming back. "Plus there's Christian Ziege, who is a big German international from Liverpool." The former Leicester and Millwall player has signed a three-year deal after finishing his contract with Spain's Rayo Vallecano, and cannot wait to get started. He said: "Spurs are a big club and it's back in London. "It's going to be an exciting time." |
