Pulis sacked by Pompey
![]() Tony Pulis is fighting a misconduct charge with Gillingham
Portsmouth have cancelled the contract of manager Tony Pullis.
The former Bournemouth manager was given a leave of absence earlier this year to allow him to contest a misconduct charge at Gillingham, another of his former clubs. But Portsmouth, who also cite misconduct, have revealed that their manager has now had his contract cancelled. "Our position is to cancel his contract due to misconduct on his side," explained Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric. He added: "I do not want to say anything more than that, but I will be talking to Tony very soon." Steve Claridge has been running team affairs at Portsmouth since October.
