Buckle reveals further interest in top scorer Benyon
Benyon has scored nine League goals for the Gulls this term
Torquay boss Paul Buckle says top scorer Elliot Benyon is continuing to attract interest from other clubs.
The 23-year-old striker, who has netted 10 goals this season, was the subject of a failed bid from an unnamed League One side last week.
Buckle told BBC Devon: "I've had more phone calls on Elliot, and I'm expecting further bids for him.
"I'd be gutted if I lost him - sometimes you can't hold people back, but maybe we can hold onto him."
Benyon added to his goal tally on Tuesday evening, scoring the third of Torquay's goals as they won 3-1 away at Wycombe.
I think it's 10 goals he's got now, we're into double figures and it's not even Christmas, and he's a big part of what we're doing

Buckle said: "I think if anyone was watching him tonight and that performance, punching well above his weight up front - he's becoming a really good player.
"I think it's 10 goals he's got now, we're into double figures and it's not even Christmas, and he's a big part of what we're doing."
Since signing from Bristol City in June 2007, Benyon has played 116 games for the Devon outfit.
The striker signed a new deal at Plainmoor at the start of 2010, which expires at the end of the current season.
