Torquay United held Plymouth Argyle to a 3-3 draw in an exciting encounter at Plainmoor on Wednesday evening.
Plymouth's Marcel Seip scored an own goal, whilst both of Torquay's strikers hit the back of the net, with a goal apiece for Tim Sills and Elliot Benyon.
Plymouth hit the target through striker Rory Fallon and midfielders Gary Sawyer and Luke Summerfield.
Gulls boss Paul Buckle said: "I'm very pleased with both halves, we showed character and it was good to watch."
Buckle told the club's website: "We had the right mentality and the right approach and I think a draw was a fair result."
Torquay now face Bristol Rovers at home on Saturday in the next fixture of their pre-season friendlies, whilst the Pilgrims are next in action at Skelmersdale on Saturday.
