Torquay midfielder Martin Phillips has announced his retirement from professional football.
He has been suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, the same illness which resulted in Charlton forward Andy Hunt retiring recently.
Phillips had played for Plymouth, Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers, Exeter, Scunthorpe and Manchester City.
The 31-year-old made 56 appearances for the Gulls scoring six times for the Plainmoor side.
