Torquay have signed Bury goalkeeper Andy Marriott and Bradford striker Zema Abbey, reports BBC Radio Devon.
Marriott has signed a 15-month deal at Torquay
Marriott, 34, had been on a short-term contract at Bury since signing from Colchester in November, and has signed a 15-month deal at Plainmoor.
"He has been offered a long-term contract - we can't compete with that," boss Graham Barrow told Bury's website.
Meanwhile, Abbey, 27, has joined the Gulls on a short-term deal, which could be extended if he proves himself.
He had been with the Bantams on a short-term contract since November.
Marriott's departure from Gigg Lane has been offset by the return to fitness of Glyn Garner.
Garner is now set to return for Bury in their crucial game with Cambridge on Saturday.
