Peterborough striker Leon Constantine has joined Torquay on a month's loan in time for Saturday's trip to Swindon.
Constantine was a prolific scorer for Southend last season
Constantine, 26, joined Posh in the summer after scoring 25 times for Southend last season, but has not been able to secure a regular starting spot.
Boss Leroy Rosenior told BBC Radio Devon: "He's a name that our supporters will recognise and get excited about.
"He was the top scorer in the old Division Three last season and is the proven goalscorer that we need."
The Gulls could make the move permanent if Constantine impresses.
