Former Bristol City forward Marvin Brown is hoping to earn a contract with Conference club Tamworth.
Brown played for England Under-16s in 1999
Brown, 21, was released by City in the summer, and recently made three appearances for Forest Green Rovers while on a short-term contract.
He joined Tamworth on non-contract forms so that he could make his debut in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Exeter.
He told Bristol City's website: "I'll have more talks with Tamworth this week and hope something can be sorted out."
Brown added: "I'm very impressed by what I have seen of the Tamworth set-up. It's a very professionally-run and ambitious club."
Meanwhile, Brown's elder brother Aaron, who also left Ashton Gate in the summer, is still battling to regain full fitness after suffering a broken leg back in March.
"He has been contacted by several clubs, but obviously none will commit themselves until he is fit and ready to play," Marvin added.
