Tamworth appoint Cooper
Tamworth have confirmed Mark Cooper becoming their new player-manager.

Cooper has been promoted from his position as player-coach to replace Darron Gee, who resigned after the Lambs' final game of the season.

Cooper, son of former England international Terry, has spent the last two seasons at Tamworth.

The 35-year-old helped Gee's side win promotion to the Conference 12 months ago, and finished their first season at that level as top-scorer with 15 goals.

Cooper previously played in the Conference for Forest Green after League experience with half-a-dozen clubs, including Birmingham City, Exeter and Hartlepool.
