Swans boss Martinez is pleased with how his squad is taking shape
Swansea manager Roberto Martinez has hinted trialist Michael van der Heijden could have done enough to earn himself a contract.
The 26-year-old Dutch midfielder scored in Wednesday's 5-0 friendly win over Neath Athletic at the Gnoll.
"I want to assess the whole squad before we make a decision," Martinez told BBC Sport Wales.
"But Michael has come in, he's shown a great attitude and he needs to keep working hard."
Former RKC Waalwijk player Van der Heijden is a free agent after appearing last season for FC Lisse, who play in the Netherlands' third-tier Hoofdklasse A division.
