Kenny Jackett's search for a left winger continues after the Swansea City manager failed to tempt Bristol City to part company with Marc Goodfellow.
Goodfellow played four games on loan for Port Vale last month
"I would like to add a natural left-footed winger to my squad, Jackett told the South Wales Evening Post newspaper.
"I did enquire about Marc Goodfellow, but I've been told he's not available.
"I have been working hard in the last seven days trying to come up with some names and I've enquired about a number of players, but nothing has come off."
Goodfellow has returned to Bristol after spending a month on loan at Port Vale, but he was left out of the squad for Saturday's League One win over Milton Keynes Dons and for Tuesday's 4-0 win over Tranmere.
The 23-year-old, who signed for £50,000 from Stoke in January, missed the start of the season with a foot injury.
