Flynn closes on Britton
Leon Britton
Britton impressed during his spell with the Swans
Swansea City boss Brian Flynn is close to finalising a deal to keep Leon Britton at the Vetch.

Britton was highly impressive during is loan spell at the club, and Flynn has been eager to sign him for the Swansea since they avoided relegation from the Three Division.

However, with Britton's club West Ham themselves being relegated, Flynn feared that the Londoners may want to recall the talented youngster.

Flynn is believed to have spoken to the Hammers within the last 24 hours and understands that they would be willing to let the Swans keep him on a permanent basis, providing a structured deal can be worked out.

Flynn will also meet with transfer target Chris Llewellyn and some of his out of contract players on Thursday.

He has also held talks with Wrexham goalkeeper Kristian Rodgers and is interested in Shrewsbury's Jamie Tolley and Exeter's Justin Walker.
