Size matters for Swans manager
Vetch Field
John Hollins is hoping for promotion at the Vetch
Swansea City manager John Hollins thinks it is a tall order to get out of Nationwide League Division Three - and he's ready to back his instincts.

The Swans, relegated last term after a poor season in Division Two, are planning to bounce straight back, and Hollins is setting his sights high.

"With the signings of John Williams and Mamady Sidibe we will be a very big side this season," said Hollins.

"We have a lot of height up front and at the back, and over the years most of the big sides have got through the division.

"You have to ability as well. But being big to defend and on set-pieces up front makes it interesting.

"I think we can go straight back up. We have a smaller squad than last year, but we have a lot of young talent coming through.

"They had a lot of experience last season in Division Two, and I am going to use that to move us forward and get us out of this league.

"New signings Sidibe and Nicolas Mazzina are just in their 20s, and will be an unknown package for the opposition.

"I hope they will be thinking 'who are these guys' and then we show them."

Hollins said his squad had not been unsettled by the off-field upheaval at the Vetch and uncertainty about the future.

"We can't do anything about that. What we can do is win matches on the pitch, go forward, and get the supporters excited.

"We have to get the supporters' minds off the rumour and the rubbish that's around and onto the football."
