Sunderland keeper Ben Alnwick has committed his future to the struggling club by signing a new four-year deal with the Black Cats.
Alnwick has come through the ranks at Sunderland
"It's good to finally get the new deal signed and put to bed," the 19-year-old told the club's website.
"There's been a new buzz around the place since the arrival of Niall Quinn in the summer.
"And, after I sat down with the new chairman, I decided that my long-term future was here."
