Peeters leaves Sunderland

Belgian midfielder Tom Peeters has left Sunderland after failing to break into the first-team at the club.

The 25 year old was under contract until June 2004 but has failed to make an impact since arriving on Wearside in July 2000.

Sunderland and the player have reached a settlement which allows him to leave the Stadium of Light and pursue opportunities elsewhere.
