Flo may face quick sale
Tore Andre Flo
Flo has won 63 caps for Norway
Sunderland will have just one day to sell their misfit striker Tore Andre Flo, if they decide to let him go in the summer.

Fifa regulations say that a player cannot switch clubs more than once in the space of 12 months.

The Black Cats bought Flo from Rangers on 30 August which leaves them just one day before the summer transfer deadline.

Sunderland could be forced to sell the Norwegian international to cut spiralling debts of about 25m.

Former Sunderland boss Peter Reid paid 8m for Flo to boost his misfiring strikeforce.

But the need for a quick sale could mean Flo is sold on for a bargain price or as part of a swap deal.

The former Chelsea hitman, who is the club's highest earner, has only scored four goals for the Wearsiders.

The club are rock-bottom of the Premiership, six points adrift of the safety zone.

They also missed out on a lucrative FA Cup run after a controversial defeat to Watford at the weekend.

And Sunderland chiefs confirmed last week that there will be squad changes at the end of the season regardless of their Premiership fate.
