Reid signs teenage striker
Peter Reid
Peter Reid has had a busy summer already
Sunderland boss Peter Reid has made his fourth signing of the summer with the capture of 19-year-old French striker David Bellion.

The teenager joins Sunderland from AS Cannes on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling.

Reid has already signed Lilian Laslandes, Nicolas Medina and Baki Mercimek in the close season and has continued his investment in youth with the signing of Bellion.

The striker did not make a first-team appearance as Cannes were relegated from the Second Division last season but the club has an impressive record of producing star players.

French internationals Zinedine Zidane, Patrick Vieira and Johan Micoud have all played for Cannes in the past.

Reid has already bought one 19-year-old this summer in Argentinian midfielder Medina, who joined from Argentinos Juniors for 3.75m last month.
