Stoke reveal new academy director

Martin replaces Steve Holland who left for a similar role at Chelsea

Stoke City have appointed Steve Martin as the new director of the youth academy at the Britannia Stadium.

The 41-year-old takes over the position from Steve Holland, who left the club for a similar role at Chelsea.

Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes told the club's official website: "Steve's attributes will give us a strong focus on player recruitment at this level."

Martin joins the Potters after spending the last six and a half years working in the academy set up at Portsmouth.
