Fuller injury boost for Potters

Ricardo Fuller
Fuller dislocated his shoulder against Sunderland on Saturday

Stoke City striker Ricardo Fuller could be back in action by the end of March after tests showed no further problems with his dislocated shoulder.

The injury he suffered in the defeat at Sunderland on Saturday could have ruled out the Jamaica international for the rest of the season.

But X-rays showed no fractures or further damage, meaning Fuller is expected to miss four to six weeks.

The 29-year-old is the Potters' top scorer this season, with six goals.

Fuller was due to be travel with the Jamaica squad for their match against Nigeria on Wednesday, but will instead stay in Stoke for a month of non-contact training while recovering from his injury.

The news is, however, better for the two other Stoke players who also had to replaced in the first half of the game at Sunderland.

Andy Wilkinson and Ryan Shawcross should be available for the Potters' next game, against Portsmouth at the Britannia Stadium on 21 February.
