More to Stoke than throws - Kemp

Stoke City assistant manager Dave Kemp insists there is more to the Potters than just Rory Delap's long throw-ins.

Seven of City's 13 Premier League goals have come as a result of Delap throws, including both in Saturday's 2-1 home victory over Arsenal.

Kemp told BBC Radio Stoke: "It is a fantastic weapon that has worked on numerous occasions.

"But we are creating chances in open play, we don't want to mask the fine performances from the other players."

The Potters have now won their last three home games and have climbed to 12th in the Premier League table.

"If you can string a few wins together you can move rapidly up the league," said Kemp.

"If you keep working hard and picking up points then sooner or later you will pick up a few wins and climb the table."

And after the euphoria of defeating the Gunners, Kemp said that City will quickly turn their attention to the game at Wigan on Saturday.

"It's been a tough week where we've played three games with Arsenal at the end of that week.

"We'll now get our feet back on the ground and make sure we're thoroughly prepared for Wigan," added Kemp.
