Iwelumo extends contract
Chris Iwelumo scored his 11th goal of the season in the 3-1 home win over Brighton
Iwelumo joined Stoke from Aarhus for 25,000
Stoke's Chris Iwelumo has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract extension in a deal that keeps him at the Britannia stadium until 2004.

"We are delighted to have reached an agreement because Chris has made huge progress this season," City's director of football John Rudge told the club website.

"He has emerged as our top goalscorer and is a very valuable member of Gudjon Thordarson's squad.

"His emergence this season has been a very big bonus for us and that's reflected in the new contract."

The 23-year-old Iwelumo joined Stoke from Danish club Aarhus for 25,000 two years ago.
