Palmer's teenage investment

Stockport County have signed teenage midfielder Ashley Sestanovich from non-league side Hampton and Richmond Borough.

The 19-year-old impressed County boss Carlton Palmer during a recent trial spell at Edgeley Park and has joined the Hatters for a nominal fee.

Sestanovich started his career with Manchester City before spending time at Millwall and Belgian club Antwerp.

He then moved into the Ryman League with Kingstonian and then Hampton and Richmond.

Sestanovich also had a trial spell at Bradford City last season where he caught the eye of Stockport's goalkeeping coach Mark Prudhoe.
