Thomson to stay with Rangers
QPR striker Andy Thomson has signed a new- two year contract to stay at Loftus Road.

Thomson, who scored 21 goals for Rangers last season, rejected offers from Stockport manager Carlton Palmer and Aberdeen to stay at the club.

He was originally offered a one-year deal by QPR, but Rangers decided to offer him new terms rather than lose him on a Bosman free transfer.

"If I had left the club it would have been for reasons other than football," said 31-year-old Thomson.
