Jocky Scott is the new manager of Stirling Albion, replacing the sacked John O'Neill.

Scott, 63, lost his job at Dundee in March last year, despite the Dark Blues being top of the First Division.

It was Scott's third spell in charge at Dens Park, while he has also been the boss at Dunfermline, Arbroath, Notts County and Raith Rovers.

The Binos have won only three league games this term and sit second bottom of the table.

Dundee's 25-point penalty for going into administration sees Scott's former club four points adrift of his new employers.

Following the departure of O'Neill and his assistant Roddy Grant, club spokesman Paul Goodwin said: "Everyone would like to pass their thanks on to John and Roddy for all of their hard work and support.

"We appreciate this was a difficult decision for all concerned, but we need to now concentrate on surviving in the First Division."
