Stirling Albion manager Allan Moore is relishing the challenge awaiting his promoted players in Division One after their play-off final victory.

"Over the two legs, I think we deserved it and I am just delighted for all the players concerned," he said after the 5-4 aggregate defeat of Airdrie United.

"We can prepare for the summer and look forward to the First Division."

Airdrie boss Kenny Black said: "I am so disappointed for everyone concerned, especially the supporters."

While Stirling are part-time, Airdrie will have to decide whether to continue full-time football at Excelsior Stadium.

"We will need to sit down and see what happens in the summer," added Black.

Airdrie chairman Jim Ballantyne stressed that the club would not turn part-time next season.

"We now have to dust ourselves down, regroup and start our campaign for next year," he told his club website.

"The club will be staying full time and Kenny and Jimmy are already putting together their plan."
