St Mirren rocked by Dorman injury

St Mirren midfielder Andy Dorman has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

The 27-year-old sustained the injury early in the first half of last weekend's defeat by Celtic.

"Andy will be out for a wee while due to a hamstring tear," Saints boss Gus MacPherson told the club website.

"It will most likely be January before we see him again. It isn't good news for Andy or the team but it's something we'll just have to deal with."

Dorman has impressed for Saints since joining from New England Revolution in January 2006.

MacPherson admitted it was a blow to lose the in-form midfielder but said the return of Steven Robb and Mo Camara would ease the burden on his small squad.

Midfielder Robb is close to full fitness following a groin problem, while Camara has been sidelined since August with a knee injury.

"While Steven and Mo are back training now and working towards fitness, we may find ourselves in the situation where they take part in actual games to attain that final fitness," said MacPherson.

"It isn't ideal but because of the size of the squad it may be something that we will have to look at."
