Millen hangs up boots for Buddies

Millen made 10 SPL appearances last season

St Mirren assistant manager Andy Millen has confirmed his intention to retire from first team football.

Millen, who turned 43 this month, made 10 appearances last season and is the oldest player to have appeared in a Scottish Premier League game.

"I hope to contribute to the reserves. Playing with the younger boys is the most enjoyable part of my job," said the central defender.

"They are receptive to what you say and have great desire to impress."
