New England Revolution midfielder Andy Dorman will join St Mirren on an 18-month contract, Buddies manager Gus MacPherson has confirmed.
Dorman is a top performer in the MLS
The 25-year-old has been the Steve Nicol's side for the past three seasons but wants a return to the UK.
And MacPherson told his club website: "Andy's English, but he's got Welsh international caps at youth level.
"We've brought him in as a box-to-box midfielder and he'll be a strong addition to the squad."
Dorman has impressed while with Scotland international Nicol's team and Soccer America named him the third-best attacking midfielder in MLS for 2006.
Meanwhile, MacPherson explained that striker Craig Dargo had been left out of the side to face Aberdeen because he had picked up a "slight strain" in training.
Summer signing Dargo had made his debut in midweek after being out injured since arriving from Inverness Caley Thistle.
