MacPherson guided St Mirren to a rare victory at Tynecastle

St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson paid tribute to his hard-working players, after a surprise 1-0 victory over title-chasing Hearts at Tynecastle.
He said: "No-one expected us to win today, but we won as a team and the players here have a lot to prove.
"It's great to win at an intimidating ground, but it's still only three points and the efforts the team put in will have to be repeated all season.
"We had some luck at times and Hearts missed chances but we played our part."
St Mirren won at Hearts' ground for the first time since season 1988/89, and have surprised observers with a bright start to their first season back in the top division.
Recalled goalkeeper Tony Bullock had an outstanding performance, denying the Edinburgh side on several occasions.
"He was outstanding today," added MacPherson.
"But the whole team were well prepared mentally.
"We needed a good standard of performance and with these players I know I am going to be guaranteed maximum effort most weeks."
