St Johnstone have signed the versatile Simon Mensing from Clyde.
The 23-year-old has signed a two-year contract at McDiarmid Park and admitted that manager Owen Coyle was a key factor in his decision to sign.
"Saints are a big club and I spoke to Owen and was impressed by his ambitions to take the club forward," Mensing told the club's website.
"I had one or two other options but am more than happy to be coming to McDiarmid Park."
Mensing favours a right-back role but is comfortable in a variety of positions.
He added: "I'm just looking to get the full pre-season routine underway now.
"We have a good squad here and Owen has already added some quality players and I'm looking forward to being a part of his plans for the next couple of seasons."
