Reilly joins Saints
Mark Reilly in action for Kilmarnock
Midfielder Mark Reilly was released by Kilmarnock
Former Kilmarnock midfielder Mark Reilly has completed his move to St Johnstone.

The 33-year-old has signed a one-year deal as manager Billy Stark attempts to offset the loss of several first-team regulars at the end of the season.

High-earning midfielders Paul Kane, Nick Dasovic and John Paul McBride were all released after the club's relegation to Division One.

Reilly told his club's website: "There's no doubt that Billy being here was an important factor in me deciding to sign for Saints.

we will have great chance of getting promotion next year

"Not only has he previously been my boss, but I have played with Billy as well.

"Saints have a fantastic set-up. The club may now be in the First Division, but this is a Premier division set-up.

"I'm really looking forward to meeting up with the rest of the squad for pre-season training.

"If we play to form, we will have great chance of getting promotion next year."

Reilly spent a spell on loan at Airdrieonians at the end of the season before the Lanarkshire club went into liquidation despite finishing second in Division One.

He had two spells at Killie, with a brief time at Reading inbetween.

Reilly now becomes Stark's third close-season signing following the capture of former Ayr United defender John Robertson and former Ross County defender Ian Maxwell.

Stark also signed six players from the club's own youth set-up.

Perth-born midfielder Craig Johnston joins fellow midfielders Euan Hall and Dave Greenhill, defenders Eddie Malone and Neil Gibson and striker Danny Noon will have the opportunity to shine at Under-21 level.

Emmanuel Panther has also signed a one-year contract, despite press speculation that the young striker was being chased by a number of top clubs in England and Scotland.
