Southend United have transfer-listed three more first-team players after failing to agree contract extensions.
Last season's top scorer Nicky Bailey, defenders Peter Clarke and Simon Francis have all been listed.
Chairman Ron Martin said: "All three have been offered improved contracts but we won't be held to ransom."
Meanwhile, Southend have turned down a bid from Brentford for striker Charlie MacDonald, and revealed Hereford want Gary Hooper, who was on loan with them.
Bailey still has two years to run on his current deal while Clarke and Francis have 12 months to go.
Manager Steve Tilson revealed Brentford's bid for 27-year-old Charlie MacDonald, also on the transfer list, "isn't near what we want for him".
